| Are they doing anything about it? Hope so.I can't believe there is no response from the company about this! Do they not see the profit they would make if anything? Everyone I know in the Flighsim community is still using FS9, there aren't computers built to handle FSX unless your NASA!! Making these compatible with FS9 would earn Vuzix Thousands of Dollars $$$ The term "Selling like Hot cakes" springs to mind Complete Madness! |

| Sorry, I disagree. I have a 3.4 gHz P4 with 2Gb, and an NVidia (EVGA) 7950GT card with 512Mb - not top of the line by any means. I haven't run FS9 since I got FS-X, other than for a couple payware add-ons that aren't (yet?) available in FS-X (and even for those, I think I've fired up FS9 maybe twice since FS-X came out). I am not saying my framerates are stellar, but they're nearly as or as good as what I was getting in FS9 when I turn the various settings down to what I was using in FS9.
Service Pack 1 is MANDATORY BTW. MS did some good stuff in that SP.
This goes without saying, but your mileage may differ tremendously from what I have experienced but I believe that if you know how to tweak the FS-X settings you can get completely acceptable framerates on your system as compared to what you get in FS9.
Note that I do not run AI traffic, and run little or no autogen scenery. Those two things are the biggest framerate killers in the sim. I admit that I do need a much faster system to be able to turn those on.
BTW this is a topic for endless debate and I'm not going to spend much (nay, probably any) more time here "discussing" it; I'm just saying that (after SP1) I have been able to settle down into an FS-X experience that is acceptable to me.
Avsim.com is a great place to go to get more tips/discussion about FS-X performance; this certainly ain't the place. My point in posting here is to cast a negative vote on developing drivers for FS9; I'd rather that Vuzix spend that time perfecting the FS-X ones.

| | I have both FS9 and FSX. My machine is a bit below yours Blave but I would rather spend the funds I do have on a Vusix 920 than upgrade my machine just for FSX. If FS9 gets supported I will buy a Vusix 920. |

| | Point 1) The VR920 is ALREADY compatable with FSX Point 2) Put the VR920 with FSX on your Machine FSX will become a Slide Show! (Irrelevant for this post Point 3) To have FSX smooth you have to make it look like the days of FS2000! Why bother? Might aswell just install FS2000 again. I have FS9 maxed out on everything, I get 45-56 frps!
But Like you said were not here to discuss that Cheers |

| I have this little issue....
Win 7 32, ATI HD card, Installed FS9 Deluxe + Acceleration (SP1, SP2)
Stereo and tracking works only the first time I run FS9 after installed vr920 libraries (VR920 monitor) if I exit the FS9 and run it again, it doesn´t work |
