Hello everyone,

my contribution to the wish list for headtracking supported game : armed assault

I don't currently own a VR 920, but i am seriously considering getting one, it will ultimately depends on users feed back and development that might be made on headtracking capabilities

I don't understand. Would you guys actually use head tracking as your primary means of turning and aiming in a game? I would only want it for something where you can move the view independently of your body or vehicle or whatever.

If you had mouse emulation in, say, STALKER, it would just replace the mouse altogether, which seems like it would be unplayable.

Armed Assault would be great. That actually works with TrackIR.

If for example in STALKER we had mouse emulation, y will use it for naturally looking around and then, use the mouse for aiming, try to have two muses pluged to your pc, if yo are moving one , and start moving othe the last is in control of the cursor.

Decoril pretty much hit the nail on the head there. There are some tracking setups we have where the mouse is emulated, and you turn your head for large changes, and use the mouse for small changes. We're still talking with the software team about getting the generic drivers that it seems many people want. Right now, we need to find a good way to implement it in such a manner so the people who want it can have it, and more casual people aren't even exposed to it. We'll be keeping this thread updates with any news. In the meantime, keep the comments coming, since this is the best way to get what you want.

When I get the SDK, I'll make a program for emulating the keyboard/joystick/mouse using the head tracker.

My program will also let you control games by speaking commands into the built-in microphone.
