I was thinking how interesting it would be to find a pair of immersive glasses for PC. I saw the 920 it the best for gaming but I'm not really interested the VR support.

My biggest desire was to find something that had an IMax feel to it, meaning the screen literally wraps around your peripheral vision, thus totally immersing you into the image.

It seems all the video goggle I see are just two screens place direction in front. Do the 920's (or any of the video glasses) give you an immersive experience like a true IMax film would? Otherwise, I already have a big screen...don't really need to simulate another one.

Thanks!

Unfortunately these current glasses do not give an IMAX experience. The best glasses Vuzix have, the Wrap 1200, give a FOV (field of view) of 35 degrees. IMAX is probably closer to 90 degrees. So its nothing like that. While the Wrap headset still does look decent for what it is, it can't compare to an IMAX theater. Even the upcoming Sony HMZ-T1, with around 50 degrees FOV, still will fall short of IMAX (though it may compare to a small local movie theater).
