Hi everybody

I own a VR920 since yesterday and I'm trying it out like crazy. A lot of post about GlovePie here in this forum, but have you been recently on the website to download the new version?? I ask because when I try to open the exe, a message appears something like : "The author of the programm has been banned in this forum and demands his account re-openend, otherwise no support for Vuzix. Please disable your VR20 and restart application."

So no Glovepie for Vuzix Users? How about the old versions?

The old version of glovePIE (v3.9 if i'm not wrong) works good. I've used it in many games.
Unfortunately, in that version there's a bug preventing wiimote pointing abilities to work, so if you're the lucky owner of both a pair of vr920 and a wii you cannot play fps with stereo3d, headtraking and a wiimote as a gun =(

I don't know what happened between Carl and the Vuzix team, but it turned out to be a loss for both IMHO...

Anyway, just go out there and grab the 3.9 version of glovePIE, there should be also a link here in the forum, somewhere...

Thanks for the info. Doing a search here, on the web and on the site of GlovePie, I could only find Version 0.3 (and older), but not 0.39.
If you have this version, could you send it to me and I'll upload it on Rapidshare, i have a Premium Account.

It's my bad, i thought it was 3.9 but in fact it was 0.3.0
so you got the "most recent and still working with vr920" version

Why WOULD he get banned? Honestly, he seemed to be the only developer even VAGUELY interested in vuzix. Vuzix, please unban him or give some explanation so we can get this over with?

Maybe Vuzix attended Josh Berkus's How to destroy your community presentation?

Maybe Vuzix attended Josh Berkus's How to destroy your community presentation?

But it really looks like that
There's also no reply from Vuzix about software update, just like in this presentation "don't answer anything"... That is sad.

Vuzix really needs to step up their... well, answering of questions.

Carl was banned because he refused to help a fighter pilot instructor who came onto the forums, since he's a humanitarian and he thought helping him would be supporting mass murder. Tech support frowned on him for this, and when he called tech support a hypocrite for stickying a helpful topic, that's when he was banned. I think tech support then went through and edited/deleted Carl's posts on the matter. (the forums, they leak info... you can find deleted posts easily)

But honestly the matter should have cooled down by now...
