| Hi. I got my VR920 through the mail today. Yay!
But...I'm having serious problems in the setup, and I'm falling the manual. So far as I know I've done things in the order said. However, when it gets to the point where it says I should see a window popping up on XP with "not at this time" followed by "install automatically" I do not get these windows with these notifications.
Result is I can see bluescreen light in the Vuzix but no display. I can however hear sound through the vuzix earphones. My main Apple monitor is connected from the card slot on a DVI. The vuzix VGA is connected to a VGA slot alongside it.
HELP! |

| Yeah, I did that. I actually got it working once, so I know the unit is not defective, but I just can't get the hang of how the thing communicates with my computer (and I can't remember what I did the time I got it working). When it was working, too, only the glasses were working, the comp screen went blank. When I switch the computer off and then back on again, with the 920 attached, it shows up as a second monitor in control panel, but nothing is visible through the glasses even when I "enable" it. I also get that stupid "extend your monitor" option that I can't turn off. I can't see a "clone" function anywhere. I have never yet managed ti get the glasses and the comp screen displaying at the same time. Usually what happens is the comp screen is an extended desktop and the glasses are dark, or else (that one time) the glasses worked, and the comp monitor was dark.
What's up with that? |

| In my case i got an nvidia video card, and via nvidia control center i'm able to choose whether to clone the display (which is what you're trying to do, right?), to expand the desktop on both displays or to use just one of them.
In you're case i've read "Apple monitor" so i guess you'll have to find something similar on your mac.
btw, if you want stereo 3d i guess you can't use clone mode... |

| Right now I'd settle for just being able to get it to work
Only the monitor is apple. The graphics card is NVidia.
In control panel, display, settings, I can get it to show up as a separate monitor, but I always get the desktop extension thing. And then sometimes with that I have to reboot the comp because I can't get the screen back AND the glasses are dark. It's driving me nuts. |

| This is kind of weird... the control panel should let you choose the primary monitor and the vr920 should be on the list... try to make identification thing and see if the vuzix shows up. As for the black screen, it should normally revert back to last working config in 15 seconds unless you hit the "ok" button, so that's strange too..
Do you have the ability to try the glasses on another machine? just to be sure... |
