| I've had little trouble with my glasses until just last night. After being on for about ten minuets, the screen for the right eye began to develop thin white horizontal lines that quickly filled the screen. Shortly thereafter the entire right screen turned white. To my relief it went back to normal after unplugging it for a short time. Unfortunately the problem reoccurred after about 5 minuets of use.
I just finished doing a few tests with the vuzix today. The right screen slowly fills with white lines despite changing the resolution and it happens just as often on the 2d desktop or in a stereoscopic 3d game. I have the latest firmware and software. The cord to the Vuzix does not touch any other cable or power cord. I've also tried different USB ports.
The only thing that I can think of is that it's overheating, because the screen does work again after a few minuets rest, but it is very cold here in the house and I don't know how to better test if it is overheating.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

| this is what happened to my vr920 - after being quoted $200+ (1 month out of warranty) for repairs I decided to not throw any more money at VZ - dismantling the glasses revealed a weak connection between the wheel and circuitboard - this appears to be a design fault that will likely crop up a lot - a bit of judicious tampering and the glasses were working again - the 'jaggies' that presage the onset of this problem are really annoying too.
there is still a lot that needs to be improved on these glasses but Ive had a lot of fun with them.
I just wont be buying any more.

| I found a solution to my problem as well. I tested the glasses under a fan to see if it was an issue with heat. Turns out that was the trouble. I've since mounted a small fan on top of the glasses and have had no problem since.
