Vuzix Corporation – Technical Product Specialist
The TPS is responsible for responding to technical support requests via the telephone, e-mail, or web chat. The TPS provides accurate and efficient remote diagnosis, repair, and case documentation, as well as Issuing Return Material Authorizations to Customers. The representative will also be responsible for taking product phone orders from customers.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
* Answer specific requests for technical assistance in a timely and proficient manner for Consumer, Commercial, and Medical products
* Take Phone orders from prospective customers
* Provide documentation, diagnosis and repair of technical issues
* Issue Return Authorizations to customers
* Provide excellent customer service
* Stay on top of new products that Vuzix has to offer
* Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
*Minimum of A.A.S. Degree or related experience in a technical field.
*Knowledge of PC games and Multi Player Online Gaming, including the installation of mods and AddOns
Skills and Knowledge:
*Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening and mathematical)
*Microsoft Word and Excel experience required
* Knowledge of PC operating systems, Driver installation and Third Party software updates
*Self-starter, completes tasks with little or no supervision.
*Strong Analytical background, previous Technical support experience a Plus
*Interpersonal ability to work effectively with others, including a diverse population
*Problem solving ability to constructively handle unexpected problems. Strong Analytical skills
*Decision making ability to make sound decisions given the information available
*Subject-matter knowledge of Video technologies, and systems a Plus
