I have seen that 3D goggles/ glasses are coming back now which is awesome. I have always liked them but they weren't fully functional at that point.

1) At the moment I got a 19" LCD with a 5000:1 contrast ratio would the glasses be better for gaming?

2) I am thinking of getting either the VR920 or the Wrap 920AV which one would be better for gaming on a computer?

3) Is there a big difference between the AV and VR if there is will there be a Wrap VR920 ?

I will mainly be using it for gaming, so i need the best suitable. Any feedback on the questions I asked will be appreciated.

I wondered pretty much the same thing, but decided not to wait for the Wrap to become available.  Something about buying a new product before it's been put through its paces by consumers for several months makes me nervous.

I currently have a 21" widescreen monitor that is wonderful for gaming.  While I'm a new customer of the VR920, I've quickly realized its limitations.  You will not get the same resolution in the glasses that you can on your monitor, hands down.  If you have a 19" 4:3 ratio monitor, the view screen in the glasses will look to be about the same size as when you sit at your desk in front of your monitor.  The advantage of the glasses is the 3D effect and head tracking.

The Wrap will offer 6 DOF tracking as an accessory, so I'm not sure Vuzix would need to develop a different version that's marketed as "VR."  Also, I haven't seen anything regarding suggested retail price on the Wrap, though it may be buried in here somewhere.

My suggestion would be to buy a pair of the VR920 from Vuzix and try them for yourself.  They offer a 30-day money back guarantee if you don't like them.
