| Good Day
I just got my VR920, installed on XP SP2, I have an ATI Radeon X800pro GT GFX card, using direct x 9c.
So far ive only tried WoW with the glasses, 3d with Vuzix drivers works, though head tracking wont let me look up or down at the moment.
Ok I bought the software titles from Vuzix when I ordered my eyewear.
Haunted Castle, SoS planet, Ultimate Gs, Alien Adventure & Encounters in the 3rd Dimension.
Ive got windows media player, power DVD, nero media players & just installed "steroscopic" media player by some guy called Peter Wimmer.
Insert DvD, lets say Haunted Castle, play in windows media player, title screen comes up, see the option " 2d or 3d" click 3d option, movie starts, but all i can still see the left & right images on the screen, ie. not steroscopically combined ! - no 3d effect.
Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong ?
is it something as obvious as " you need the nvidia drivers"....
any help appreciated

| I think you can use the Stereoscopic player in "Software Pageflipped" as the output mode. You cannot view real stereo3d movies with regular apps like WMP. I can go test this now, I think it works. But I may have been using the Nvidia page-flipping (which won't work on Vista or on ATI cards).
EDIT: Sorry, I was wrong. Software page-flipped doesn't work (at least not on a 8800GTS). The stereo won't turn on for some reason. If I manually set the 3d mode on (in the OSD its the option that looks like 2 squares) I can see just one frame in stereo 3d. But it freezes the display, so the video won't update in 3d. That should work for images in page-flipped mode though.
Anybody else found a way to get this to work? I totally forgot that the Stereoscopic Player was using the Nvidia driver for the VR920.

| Yes, that is a good card to buy. Actually thats probably the best card you can buy in terms of compatibility w/ VR920. Just remember you need the older set of Nvidia drivers that are made for XP. The Vista one is not supported. I'm running version 91.31 on my XP rig, I'm sure that works with the VR920.

| Yeah, the VR920 works with movies, but only on XP w/ older Nvidia cards at the moment.
Here is a list I found of some good quality 3D-DVDs, but there are more available if you search around:

You will also need the Stereoscopic Player to play the movies (they have some demo movies to test before you have to buy it):

The videos look really nice with the VR920. Maybe Vuzix can work something out to get native support in that program...

| Zede (6/19/2008) So far ive only tried WoW with the glasses, 3d with Vuzix drivers works, though head tracking wont let me look up or down at the moment.
Same here: bought the VR920, tried it on the first game available on my pc (world of warcraft): left right movements only... Has anyone got more luck with this? I suspect this game isn't meant to be played with this kind of googles (just trying to read the messages is a pain, knowing who you are fighting is going to be tricky too, I'm sure...)... |

| | Hey guys and gals. Does the 91.31 stereo drivers work with a nvidia 9600 gt? I am using the latest forceware 181.20 drivers released in 2009 but the nvidia site says that forceware set 91.31 should be used when using stereo drivers 91.31. Do I have to roll back my drivers for this card to enable me to use the stereo drivers. This will be a bummer if so as the newer drivers give better performance in the latest games like assassins creed etc. Thanks to all in advance

| | Hi, I don't think you'll be able to use the 91.31 Drivers, I think the last released Nvidia drivers that worked (with some reg tweaks) were the 162.50 but I think they only added support for late 8 series cards might be worth a try though. |
