I highly doubt it.

64-bit users are no different from Mac users. It is not an x86 machine. You can't expect normal software to run on it. For example, there is no possible way I can make software for a 64-bit machine.

they are working on stereo drivers for vista 32 bit, it will take "about" 45 days

OK, you were right. It did it on my computer too. I don't remember it doing that before. I don't know what changed.

Also it is not a secure security window. It is not displayed on the secure desktop with the rest of the screen darkened.

The solution is this:

When the security window pops up, press Ctrl+Alt+Del.

Choose Task Manager.

Go to the processes tab.

Kill the iWearMonitor.exe process.

The security window should then draw itself like nothing was ever wrong.

It is the unsigned driver window. It wants you to install an unsigned driver.

Say YES, you do want to install the unsigned driver.

It will install the unsigned driver.

Now when you run iWearMonitor the next time it should work.

Gents-

I'm having this problem as well.

The CD included in-box was blank- but this was only a minor concern as the drivers are available for download directly from the Vuzix site.

Upon installation all appeared to go well. I ran the configuration process without any problems, but upon launching iMontor I was greeted with a windows security window that never finishes drawing.

Additionally, the iMonitor window freezes (appears to be locked out by windows security warning) and it is impossible to launch any other windowed application.

Unlike Pete, I am unable to close the windows security warning by using any of the normal methods to force and application closed, and since I cannot launch any applications in this condition I'm unable to force the instance closed using the task manager....

I have not tried installing on an XP machine- but would very much like to use the item on my vista machine.

Just to test the theory of "something wrong with the OS" I attempted installation on two other Vista machines with identical results. So- I'm not sure what to try next.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm afraid that I have to report exactly the same symptoms as the originator of this thread, on two separate PCs, one running Vista Ultimate and the other Vista Home Premium. The Monitor program generates an empty Vista Security window which never draws. The whole PC is then quite difficult to use -- very slow and no new programs opening correctly -- until the security warning is closed from the Task bar (it won't close from its X button). The same thing occurs if it is allowed to run on start-up.

I have downloaded the updated drivers from this site, but upon execution under Vista these crash with the usual Vista message saying the Installer has stopped execution.

The documentation supplied implies that the views in the Vuzix can be as a second monitor, but every time I try this I merely get a blank black/grey screen in the goggles. I only get a view if the video drivers are set to cloning, which is a shame considering my main screen resolution is 1920 x 1200!

It looks like my unit, purchased at the AVSIM FANCON in Bellevue this last weekend, will remain on my shelf until you manage to sort the Vista issues out.

It is also most disappointing that there are no 3D drivers for Vista. This certainly wasn't information provided at the show!

I shall check back from time to time to see if any progress has been made.

Sorry if it appears as spamming, but i am posting the same report to a generally more applicable section -- tech support.

No, it works fine on my Vista computer.

The problem is not caused by the VR920 software. In fact it is IMPOSSIBLE for anything to cause that, except Vista itself. That's the whole point of the security warning box, it is SECURE. Nothing else on the computer is able to interfere with it.

There is something seriously wrong with your operating system.

Are you sure there is an empty box? If there was no box instead of an empty box then it might be caused by the dialog box appearing on the wrong screen.

Is anybody else having as much trouble getting things going with this product and Windows Vista? I can't get past the part in the instructions that says to open up the iWear Monitor software! When I double click on that icon on my desktop, instantly I get some sort of windows security warning and I can't even tell what it is warning me about cuz that box is blank and my computer freezes up on me and the only way to get things going again is just to reboot my machine!

Any of this sound familiar to anybody else? Anybody have any suggestions? lol for the relatively computer illiterate, step by step instructions on some sort of fix would really be appreciated! By the way, I THINK...... I have managed to get the latest driver stuff in, the stereo...whatever it is...! I know there's a new driver for Vista in the works that will activate the 3D options and I can't wait for that, but at this point first things first, right??? ;-)
