the .dll files in iWear Monitor

Where are these .dll files that must be added to enable applications in the iWear Monitor?
I have all of the Orangebox (stand alone which are steamless) installed but they don't show up in the monitor program. When I "Browse for target" I find the install folder under "Valvesoftware/The Orange Box/halflife 2 episode one", inside there are several other folders; bin (which contain other .dll files), eposidic, hl2 and others. I have selected the bin folder. the app then shows up in the left side panel of the monitor but I cannot get it so show up in the supported (right) panel. I suspect the .dll files are not present.

If I need to manually copy these .dll files Where would I find them? I have looked inside the vuzix/ folder in the programs menu of vista but they are not there.

Before I buy a VR920 I would like some feedback on which AGP 8x video card would be best. Are the nvidia cards better because of the drivers being available? I'm putting together a system to use the headset on primarily. Also, has anyone tried to use it with Windows 7?

help AV920 lost power

Ok was using the AV920 with a touch pro and turned it off briefly - plugged it into a mini usb on the PC to charge but now when I try to power it on I get nothing and the charge light does not come on any help or am I just out $350???

Hi everyone!

I just received my VR920 and got it to work in games with my ATI X1600 PCI-E pro graphic card and I'm really happy with it. Luv the Vuzix 3D Visualizer!

I've searched the forum about reading field-sequencial 3D dvd with the Stereoscopic Player and I found [url=http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1837]this[/url] website. They mention it's implemented and tested on Windows XP and Vista on NVIDIA Geforce and ATI FireGL cards so I'm thinking I need a new card for that.

What would be the best card for watching 3D movies? Any of you have been able with ATI cards or only NVIDIA Geforce?

Any OpenGL in stereo mode?

5 years ago I bought 3D Stereo Shutter Glasses. They worked with any openGL (and some DirectX) applications. There ware some settings in nVidia driver that did the trick.
Now I bought VR920 and only stereo that I can enjoy is MS-FSX which is the only game from the "supported" list that I have.

Can I some how see in 3D stereo mode any othotherenGL Applications?

How can I make my favoifavorite Aero Fly Pro Deluxe play in 3D stereo mode?

Warranty - how long and how?

I have that glasses, but don't really know about warranty. I didn't find it in a box and I don't know how long it can be.

I bought it from American (november 2008) and forgot ask him about it.

My glasses are fine, but I just wonder ;)

This is not because overheating. Setting darked backlight won't help. The only reason this happens is because you use resolution bigger than 640x480. Chip that downscales it probably badly cooled down, so around hour playing 800x600 you will see dot growing right side. Playing 640x480 you'll never see it again.

Hi just ordered on of these vr920 headsets , i had a pair of ed glasses , but my lcd monitor was only 60hz , and ed drivers did not like vista! games were very flickery and 3d effect was crap !

Now i play left4dead ALOT will these work in stereo 3d and with head tracking for this game ?

also the new flight sim from ubisoft Tom Clancey Hawx will this headset support that game? suppose its diff. to say with the fact the game is not out yet! :hehe:

also will the drivers work with vista 64 , or should i try the new iz3d driver? many thanks , i hope this looks as good as you guys says it is

AV 920 works on Wii not on 360

VR 920 owners have their own special forum, so I wish they wouldn't clog up the general forum with their posts.

As for my concern, first I would like to say I really love these glasses! They are awesome.

Secondly, my questions.

When using the female connector that was provided with my glasses, my Wii connects fine. On the other hand my XBOX 360 doesn't. I read in the forums about the female to female connection cable, but don't understand how it is supposed to work. Could someone clarify for me what I need to do to make my 360 connect to my glasses?

:w00t:I would like to report that I have found a way to connect my glasses to the xbox 360!:w00t:

:DIf you have an older system like mine (without the HDMI connection). Then you need to flip the switch on your video out connector to TV instead of HDTV first. Then turn on your glasses, and XBOX. ;)

Also, why under 'Downloads' are there only updates, and software for the VR920? Are the rest of us being shunned for not purchasing them?

If one were to do this, what format should the video be recorded using?

(I mean like Anaglyph, Over/Under, Side by Side etc...)

(Just have to say, the glasses are pretty cool...still tweaking them a bit for gaming use, but with the use if the iZ3D drivers, ALL my games so far work..

Farcry 2, Bioshock, FEAR, Fallout 3, Crysis...Just having issues figuring out glovePIE for tracking...)

Any tips for dual monitor setups and splitters/switches/hubs?

Hello. I've had VR920 since early this fall now, and the main thing that has made me use it less and less is basically the hassle of plugging and unplugging the cables.
I am using dual monitors, so keeping the VR920 connected to one of my two outputs on my GPU is not an option. Also, since the VR920 seems to be constantly powered when the USB cable is plugged in, keeping it connected isnt an option either.
I thought about getting switches/hubs or something (has to be DVI for video).
I tried searching the forum, but little came up. I am sure I'm not the only one wondering about this though. :)

So here is my question. Do any of you have any tips for a good solution for this, such as a switch/hub for DVI and USB? I've searched the web, but I've had trouble finding a good DVI switch. What do you personally use, if you use one?

I was wondering this for a while, and I can't seem to be able to find any video demonstrations of it. Specifically, does the head-tracking move smoothly or does it snap to the various camera angles in IL-2?

I am trying the stereoscopic player for some while now, trying every methode to get it to play my 2d movies > 3d !
Still there is nothing that i can do to get that effect, so that's why i'm here certaintly people here have experience with this player. It would help big time for alot of guys.(':cool:');

I am extremely interested in purchasing these glasses since I'm an active Flight Simulator enthusiest....however by the time I think I'd be able to afford a toy like this, I'm sure newer versions/models will be out. What kinds of things could I possible expect from future models, and is Vuzix actively working on these enhancements? For instance, with the advent of the OLED displays that I saw in articles from the CES, it looks like ultra thin, crystal clear, sharp displays could be implemented. Will Vuzix possibly switch to OLEDs? What about total immersion? I would think for a lot of gamers, the FOV would need to be greatly increased. And what about improving the head tracking? Currently the TrackIR system allows not only the directions the VR920 does, but it also allows for the zooming in and out. Will this be possible with future versions? Will it be possible to watch regular movies with a 3-D like effect with these glasses? Thanks!

This may seem like a stupid question, but upon reading all the detailed decriptions on the VR920, I was wondering if it could be used *also* to watch movies from a computer's VGA port (since only playing games is mentionned).

Hey guys, i was browsing the sharper image site, bumped into this rather B.A. device... and was wondering if you guys had made any progress on Mac OSX compatibility... i saw in the FAQ that you said it works as far as audio, but the 3D and headtracking functions were not on-line right now ...

a) wondering if any progress was made on the 3D aspect/headtracking
b) wondering, if i were to buy the product NOW, would a software update (assuming you all figure out how to make the 3d/headtracking work with OSX) be all that i need to get those functions online, or would it be completely new hardware pieces to get those functions up and running ? .... or can you even speculate on that?
c) i have a powerbook pro mac laptop, 2 USB ports, and i use both for other things--- one of which is a fan-cooler that plugs in via USB, the plug has like a splitter though, so you can plug in a 2nd device into it--- just wondering if you could speculate if that'd be ample power supply or if it needs to be directly plugged into the comp's USB (i dont know if there's like deteriorating power supply depending on splits like that)

anything else of interest about OSX-compatibility would be awesome & much appreciate, have 2 friends i play world of warcraft with that i turned onto this, and they have similar setups/questions, so w/e is appreciated

i figured i would ask it here rather then a pm incase others were interested.

wanted to know if u were able to write a script that does like vr920 roll + = keypress E
and vr920 roll - = keypress Q.

i was trying to get it to work but i just get a constant keypress Q. im trying to set the roll function to work in call of duty 4 to lean around corners.

I have full stereo and it's great but I don't succeed in activate tracking mode. I can't use my mouse to see around in the cockpit...so I wan't to know if someone know the prob. I tried to configure the view.lua file, or to find a option to unlock the view. In F1 mode (cockpit), the mouse doesn't work (and so tracking too), but in F2 mode (outside the plane), the mouse work (and so tracking too)...so if someone knows...

Tracking works but it tremble a lot. Is there a way to smooth the tracking on this game ?

IL2 Sturmovik detection.

Hi.

I got a quite simple problem.

The iWearMonitor (right now 1.1.0) doesn't detect my "IL2 Sturmovik 1946" Installation, neither als IL2 Sturmovik, nor as Pacific Fighters.

How does the Monitor detect an installation? Maybe it should be enough to change some registry keys.

I haven't really found any information on the compatibility of FS9. Does any one know if it is compatible with the VR290 and if so, what are the limitations if any? Please provide as much information as possible. I would really like to buy, but if FSX is the only choice, I will have to wait. Although I have FSX, I prefer FS9 for the time.

Going to order a vr920, My system is XP with a geforce 8500gt.

I will run flight sims, mostly Aces High 2, I want head tracking and stereo 3d if possible. Am I out of luck on the 3d with the 8500 or is there a soulution?
